Here you can see what the drive looks like to windows. Open file explorer and check if the external hard drive appears. If you right click on the lacie drive shown you may have the option to format the partition s ntfs for windows or you could convert the entire disk to a mbr disk. Try disconnecting the firewire usb cable from the drive and take the drive to a quiet place. If you have followed all of these steps and the drive is still not recognized shut down your computer wait 3 to 5 minutes restart your computer and try again.
